                                             ROCK THE TALK

Have you ever realized that as an individual, you are like a grain of sand among millions?  As human beings, we tend to focus on what is going on right in front of us, and not a world away. Perhaps we should broaden our view and realize that we represent only a fraction of a multitude of individuals, families, cultural traditions, and nations.

We forget that the place in which we live is really a part of something greater, and if we open our eyes and recognize that different cultural traditions and beliefs are present and equal, we can all benefit. We may just realize that working together, although difficult, is doable and enjoyable. If we employ a few principles of interpersonal and intercultural communication, we can increase the effectiveness of communication throughout the world.

Lets take a look at the components of cultures, and what shapes them, and how our country's cultural components compare to those of others. We can

then use this knowledge and better the communication in both our

personal and global existence.
